| A.M.A.C.O. fue constituida como Asociación profesional en 1977, con un grupo de empresarios avícolas y cunicolas. Cuenta en la actualidad con más de un centenar de empresas dedicadas a dicha actividad; muchas aglutinan todas las actividades avícolas, que engloba todo el ciclo productivo. |
Fines de la Asociación:
- Fomentar, proteger, y mejorar, las industrias de sus miembros y la calidad de los productos que en ellas se obtengan
- Defender los legítimos intereses de las empresas
- Representar a sus miembros
- Informar a las empresas de todas las cuestiones económicas y técnicas
- Coordinar los intereses de los Asociados
- Estudio de propuestas
- Iniciativa y negociación de Convenios Colectivos
- Establecimiento de servicios propios de interés común
- Promocionar el consumo de los productos elaborados en las industrias
- Coadyuvar con las Administraciones competentes en las cuestiones que estime necesario
- Velar por la estimación oficial como artículos de primera necesidad
- Cualquier otra misión que pudiera considerarse de interés para la Asociación y sus miembros

En la actualidad, entre otros muchos temas, presta servicio, como nexo de unión, entre sus asociados y otros organismos, instituciones, o empresas en la U.E. facilitando la información, documentación, el comercio y la comunicación entre ellos. Siendo miembro en Bruselas de la A.V.E.C. ( Asociación de la Industria de Procesadores Avícolas y de Comercio de Importación y Exportación Avícola en los países de la U.E, desde 1971 como miembro observador de España en AVEC, y desde 1986 como país integrado en la U.E..) Asimismo mantiene contactos con todas las asociaciones avícolas, de los países que forma la Unión Europea, mediante reuniones periódicas, bien en Bruselas u otro país que se estime conveniente para las reuniones ad hoc. |

| A.M.A.C.O. was incorporated as a Professional Association in 1977, with a group of poultry-breeding and rabbit-breeding enterprises. It currently has over a hundred companies involved in that activity; many joining together all of the poultry activities that encompass the whole production cycle. |
Aims of the Association:
- To promote, protect and improve the industries of its members and the quality of the products that are obtained in them.
- To defend the legitimate interests of the companies
- To represent its members
- To inform the companies about all economic and technical issues
- To co-ordinate the interests of the Associates
- The study of proposals
- The initiating and negotiation of Collective Agreements
- The establishing of particular services of common interest
- Promoting the consumption of the products made in the industries
- Assisting the competent Authorities in those matters which it considers necessary
- Monitoring the official evaluation as top necessity items
- Any other mission that could be considered to be of interest for the Association and its members

| Among many other matters, it presently provides a service as a link between its associates and other bodies, institutions or companies in the E.U., facilitating information, documentation, trade and communication among them. It is an A.V.E.C. member in Brussels (Association of Poultry Processors and Poultry Import and Export Trade in the E.U. Countries) since 1971 as an observer member of Spain in A.V.E.C. and, since 1986, as an E.U. member country. It likewise maintains contacts with all the poultry associations of the countries that make up the European Union, by means of periodic meetings, either in Brussels or in another country that is considered suitable for the ad hoc meetings. |
